THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WORLDY POWER AND DIVINE POWER
■ SOURCE OF POWER
◇Wordly Power: It is often acquired through influence, wealth, political status, or physical strength.
◇Divine power:This power is considered to come from a higher, transcendent source, often associated with a deity, the divine, or a higher spiritual realm. It is believed to be beyond human control and is often linked to concepts of divine will, grace, or the natural order.
■NATURE OF POWER
◇Worldly power:It is often conditional, finite, and can be subject to change or loss. Worldly power is often connected to the ego, control over others, and material success. It can be used for both good and ill, depending on the intentions behind it.
◇Divine power:Divine power is seen as eternal, all-encompassing, and unchanging. Divine power is often linked to selflessness, compassion, and the greater good.
■PURPOSE OF POWER
◇Worldly power:The purpose of worldly power is often to achieve personal goals, wealth, control, or influence over others.
◇Divine power:Divine power is viewed as serving a higher purpose, such as spiritual enlightenment, the well-being of others, and fulfilling a divine plan or destiny.
DIFFERENT SOURCES OF POWER
■WORLDLY SOURCES OF POWER
•Witchcraft:Witches acquire significant power through mystical practices that enable them to perform feats such as casting spells, summoning spirits, and engaging in astral projection.
Witchcraft can also involve a range of practices, from folk magic to ceremonial magic.
•Obeah Practices:Obeah involves spiritual practices that include communication with the spiritual world, ritual invocations, the use of fetishes, and spell casting. It can manipulate energy and is often seen as a form of folk magic or spiritual system.

Meditation, mindfulness, and the eightfold path are ways through which one attains mastery over the self, which is seen as a form of power.
◇Taoism:In Taoism, power comes from living in harmony with the Tao (the way), which is the underlying natural order of the universe. ◇Jesus miraculously multiplied five loaves of bread and two fish to feed a crowd of over 5,000 people. This event demonstrates God's power at work to provide and meet needs in extraordinary ways.
■Answered Prayers.
Example: Hannah's Prayer(1 Samuel 1:9-20)
◇Hannah prayed earnestly for a child and promised to dedicate him to the Lord’s service. God answered her prayer by giving her a son, Samuel. This story shows the power of God answering prayers in His timing.
■Conviction of Sin and Repentance.
Example: Peter's Denial and Restoration. (Luke 22:61-62; John 21:15-17)
◇After Peter denied Jesus three times, he was deeply convicted and repented. Later, Jesus restored him, affirming that Peter would be a key leader in the early church. This transformation from failure to faithful leadership shows God's power to convict, forgive, and restore.
■Boldness in Faith
