 WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO TRUST GOD?

▪︎Trusting God means to hope in the Lord.

◇Hope in the Lord: Unwavering hope placed in the Lord,even amidst uncertainty.It involves believing that God has a plan for you and that He works for your good, even in difficult times.

▪︎Trusting God means to rely on the Lord always.

◇Relying on the Lord always:This means recognizing that you can't navigate life alone and leaning on God's strength and wisdom in all situations.

▪︎Trusting God means to have a firm belief or faith in God.

◇Firm belief or faith in God: Trusting God requires a steadfast faith in God's promises,and faithfulness,regardless of circumstances.This makes believers to trust in God's divine plan.

▪︎Trusting God means to wait on the Lord at all times.

◇Waiting on the Lord: It involves patiently awaiting His timing, recognizing that true fulfillment often requires perseverance. 

▪︎Trusting God means to believe in the impossible.

◇Believing in the impossible: Trusting God means having faith that He can do things beyond our understanding or expectation, embracing miracles and divine intervention. 

WHAT TO TRUST IN AS A CHRISTIAN.

▪︎Trust in the Lord:Place your confidence in God, who is your source of strength and guidance.

-Psalm 37:3,"Trust in the Lord,and do good."

▪︎Trust in the spirit of God:Trust in the Holy Spirit to lead and discern truth in your life.

-1 John 4:1,"Beloved,do not believe every spirit,but test the spirits,whether they are of God."

▪︎Trust in the power of God:Have faith in God's sovereignty and His ability to work through all circumstances.

-Romans 13:1,"For there is no authority except from God."

▪︎Trust in the mercy of God:Trust in God's compassion and grace, knowing that He forgives and restores.

-Psalm 13:5,"But I have trusted in your mercy."

▪︎Trust in the name of the Lord:Trust in the authority of God, who is faithful and true.

-Psalm 9:10,"And those who know your name will put their trust in you."

▪︎Trust in God's promises: Have confidence that God fulfills His promises.

-2 Peter 1:4,"By which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises.."

▪︎ Trust that God cares for you, just as He provides for the birds of the air.

-Matthew 6:26,"Look at the birds of the air....your heavenly father feeds them.Are you not of more value than they?

▪︎Trust that the peace of God will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

-Philippians 4:7,"And the peace of God,which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

THE BENEFITS OF TRUSTING GOD

•God Knows You: Trusting in God assures you that He is aware of your faith and your circumstances.

-Nahum 1:7,"And He knows those who trust in Him.

•Flourishing Life:Trusting God leads to a thriving spiritual life.

-Jeremiah 17:7,"Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,And whose hope is in the Lord."

•Guidance:Trusting in Him ensures that He will direct your paths and lead you rightly.

-Proverbs 3:4-5,"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,and lean not on your own understanding;In all your ways acknowledge Him,And He shall direct your paths."

•Support in Adversity:Trusting in Him means that He will guide  you through life's storms and challenges.

-Isaiah 43:2:"When you pass through the waters,I will be with you;And through the rivers,they shall not overflow you.When you walk through the fire,you shall not be burned,nor shall the flame scorch you."

•Protection:Trusting Him provides refuge and shields you from harm.

-Psalm 91:2,"I will say of the Lord,"He is my refuge and my fortress;My God,in Him I will trust."

•Provision:God promises to meet all your needs when you place your full trust in Him.(Matthew 6:26;Philippians 4:19)

-Philippians 4:19,"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

•Help in Need:Trusting God ensures that He will be your helper in times of trouble.

-Hebrews 13:6,"The Lord is my helper;I will not fear."What can man do to me?

•Freedom from Fear:Trust in God dispels fear from your life.

-Proverbs 29:25,"The fear of man brings a snare,But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe."

•Joy and Happiness:Those who trust in God experience joy and fulfillment.

-Proverbs 16:20,"And whoever trusts in the Lord,happy is he."

•God’s Love:Trusting Him assures you of His love and care.

-1 John 4:16,"And we have known and believed the love that God has for us

•Trusting in God enables us to live fearlessly.

-Psalm 56:3-4,"Whenever i am afraid,I will trust in you.In God I have put my trust;I will not fear."

•Goodness Prepared for You:Trust leads to experiencing the goodness God has set aside for you.

-Psalm 27:13,"I would have lost heart,unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living."

-Psalm 31:19,"Oh,how great is your goodness....which you have prepared for those who trust in you."

•Attentive to Prayer:God is attentive to the prayers of those who trust Him.

-1 John 5:15,"And if we know that He hears us,whatever we ask,we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him."

•Praise and Rejoicing:Trust in God fosters a heart of praise and joy.

-Psalm 28:7,"My heart trusted in Him,and I am helped;Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,And with my song I will praise Him."

• Peaceful Living:Trusting God results in a life filled with peace.

-Isaiah 26:3,"You will keep Him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You,because he trusts in you."

•Contentment:Trusting God leads to a sense of contentment regardless of circumstances.

-Philippians 4:11,"Not that I speak in regard to need,for I have learned in whatever state I am,to be content."

•Divine Delight:God delights in the paths of those who trust Him.

-Psalm 37:23,:The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord,And He delights in his way."

•Partnership with Christ:Trusting fully in Christ brings you into fellowship with Him.

-Hebrews 3:14,"For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end."

•Deliverance from battles: Trusting God delivers you from attacks and life's battles.

-Psalm 27:3,"Though an army may encamp against me,My heart shall not fear;Though war may rise against me ,in this I will be confident."

BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF THOSE WHO TRUSTED GOD

•Abraham trusted God’s promise of descendants despite his old age(Genesis 15:5-6). 

-Genesis 15:6,"And He believed in the Lord,and He accounted it to him for righteousness."

He left his homeland, believing in God’s promise and guidance(Genesis 12:1-4).

-Genesis 12:4,"So Abram departed as the Lord has spoken to him."

•Moses trusted in God's plan and power to lead the Israelites out of Egypt.He believed in God and lead the people through the red Sea(Exodus 14:21-22).

•David demonstrated trust in God when facing Goliath with just a sling(1 Samuel 17:45-47)and by seeking God’s guidance in battle(2 Samuel 5:19).

•Danieal remained faithful to God, trusting Him even in the face of death,as seen when he was cast into the lion’s den (Daniel 6:16-23).

•Job:Despite immense suffering and loss, he maintained his trust in God, declaring, “Though He slay me, yet I will trust Him” (Job 13:15).

•Mary,the mother of Jesus exemplified trust in God when she accepted the angel’s message about bearing the Son of God, saying, “I am the maidservantof the Lord” (Luke 1:38).

•Peter stepped out of the boat to walk on water toward Jesus,demonstrating his trust (Matthew 14:29).

HOW TO TRUST GOD IN EVERYDAY LIFE

▪︎Pray:Regular communication with God helps build trust.

-Philippians 4:6,"But in everything by prayer and supplication,with thanksgiving,let your requests be made known to God."

▪︎Read the scriptures regularly. 

-Psalm 119:105,"Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path."

▪︎Remembering how faithful God has been in the past,strengthens trust.

-Psalm 77:11-12,"I will remember your wonders of old.I will also meditate on all your work."

▪︎Surrounding yourself with fellow believers can encourage trust.

-Hebrews 10:24-25,"And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together."

▪︎Acknowledge that God is in control.

-Proverbs 3:5-6,"Trust in the Lord with all your heart.....In all your ways acknowledge Him."

▪︎Remember God's goodness and faithfulness.

-Psalm 136:1,"Oh,give thanks to the Lord,for He is good!

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE 

Have you ever placed your trust in someone,only to be betrayed? Have you lost faith in someone you once believed in? Have you ever relied on a lie instead of God’s truth?Let me introduce you to a true friend: His name is Jesus Christ. He loves us deeply, sacrificing Himself on the cross to free us from sin. If you’re ready to accept Him as your Lord and Savior, pray this prayer: Lord Jesus,your Word tells me that if I claim I have no sin, I make You a liar. Today, I repent and turn away from the sinful habits that block Your work in my life. Thank You, Lord, for accepting me as Your child. All glory to Your holy name. Amen.

PRAYERS

1.Lord, help me to experience your goodness as my refuge and strength in times of trouble. May I always find solace in your presence,in Jesus name.

2.Father, I choose to trust in you and place my hope in your faithfulness. Let my heart be anchored in Your promises,in Jesus name.

3. Teach me, Lord, to trust you completely and not lean on my own understanding. Direct my paths and lead me in your wisdom,in Jesus name.

4. When I walk through deep waters, remind me that you are with me, guiding and protecting me.Help me trust your presence in every challenge,in Jesus name.

5.Thank you,God, for the confidence I have in approaching you.Increase my faith that I may trust in your will for my life,in Jesus name.

6. Help me dwell in your secret place, Lord. May I find refuge under your wings and trust in Your faithfulness as my fortress,in Jesus name.

7.Teach me to see your provision in every aspect of my life.Remind me that I am more valuable to you than the birds of the air,in Jesus name.

8.Lord, I trust that you will meet all my needs according to your glorious riches. Help me rely on your abundance in every situation,in Jesus name.

9.I will not fear, for you are my helper. Strengthen my trust, Lord, knowing that I can rely on you in every circumstance,in Jesus name.

10.Father, fill my life with happiness and gladness,because I trust in you,in Jesus name.

11.I thank you for Your perfect love that drives out fear. Help me to trust in your love fully and rest in Your embrace,in Jesus name.

12.When I am afraid, Lord, I choose to trust in you.Let my heart be calm,knowing you are my protector and deliverer,in Jesus name.

13.Show me the goodness you have stored up for those who trust in you.Let my faith grow as I witness your blessings,in Jesus name.

14.Lord,give me confidence that when I ask according to your will, you hear me. Help me trust in your timing and plans,in Jesus name.

15.You are my strength and shield, Lord. Help me trust in you wholeheartedly, knowing my heart can rejoice in your salvation,in Jesus name.

16. Keep my mind steadfast, Lord, as I trust in you.Fill me with perfect peace as I rely on your promises,in Jesus name.

17. I will remember your name, Lord, and trust in you.May my faith grow as I reflect on your faithfulness in my life,in Jesus name.

18.You are my Lord; apart from you,I have no other.Help me trust that all I need is found in you alone,in Jesus name.

19. Thank You, Lord, for directing my steps.Help me trust that you are guiding me toward the path you have prepared,in Jesus name.

20.I believe I will see your goodness in the land of the living.Strengthen my trust, Lord, as I wait patiently for your perfect timing,in Jesus name.
