Sermon:Why God laughs

REASONS FOR GOD'S LAUGHTER
▪︎Psalm 2:4,"He who sits in the heaven shall laugh;The Lord shall hold them in derision."
Reason:God laughs at the rebellious plans of earthly rulers and nations who conspire against Him. God's laughter signifies His supreme sovereignty and the futility of human efforts to challenge divine authority. It highlights that despite their schemes, God's plan will prevail.
▪︎Psalm 59:8, "But you, O Lord, shall laugh at them; You shall have all the nations in derision.
Reason:God's laughter is directed at the wicked who think they can evade justice or harm the faithful. The Lord laughs at the wickedness of those who oppose him and those who lie in wait to destroy others.
▪︎Psalm 37:13, "The Lord laughs at him, For He sees that his day is coming."
Reason:God laughs at the wicked who appear to prosper but are ultimately destined for downfall. God’s laughter serves as a reminder of the inevitable judgement awaiting the wicked.
▪︎Proverbs 1:26, "I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when terror comes."
Reason:God's laughter reflects the consequences of rejecting His wisdom and guidance. Those who refuse to heed His warnings will face the repercussions of their choices.

HOW TO LIVE A LIFE THAT AVOIDS THE LAUGHTER OR MOCKERY OF GOD
◇Cultivate Humility:Approach life with a spirit of humility and openness to God's guidance. 
-James 4:6, "God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble."
◇Pursue Wisdom:Seek God's wisdom in all decisions. 
-Proverbs 2:6,"For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding."
◇Live Righteously:Follow God’s commandments and pursue righteousness.
 -1 John 2:3-6, "Now by this we know Him if we keep His commandments. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him.
◇Heed Warnings:Pay attention to divine instruction and correction. Embracing His guidance prevents a path that leads to mockery. 
-Proverbs 1:23, "Turn at my rebuke; Surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you."
◇Develop a Relationship with God: Engage in regular prayer, worship, and community with other believers. This relationship fosters spiritual growth and aligns your heart with God's.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE 
Dear Heavenly Father, forgive me for the times I have been prideful, rebellious, or dismissive of your guidance. I repent of my sins and the foolishness that has led to a life that may provoke Your laughter, rather than your delight. Strengthen me to pursue humility and righteousness, and grant me the wisdom to make choices that honour you, in Jesus' name. Amen.

PRAYER
1. Lord, help me to trust in your plans and not be swayed by earthly powers,in Jesus' name.
2. Father, give me the courage to proclaim your truth, even when it contradicts the world's standards, in Jesus' name.
3.God, instil in my heart a desire to seek justice and righteousness, knowing that you laugh at the schemes of the wicked, in Jesus' name.
4.  Lord, grant me peace as I submit to your will, recognizing that true security comes from You alone, in Jesus' name.
5. Mighty God, protect me from those who seek to harm me, in Jesus' name.
6. Lord, deliver me from my enemies and turn their plans against them, in Jesus' name.
7. God, I will sing of your strength and declare Your love in the morning, for you are my deliverer, in Jesus' name.
8. Lord, teach me to wait on you and help me to trust that you are working all things for my good, in Jesus' name.
9. Father, guide me to act with integrity and righteousness. May my life reflect your goodness and truth, in Jesus' name.
10. Lord, I pray for those who do evil; may they turn from their ways and seek your mercy, in Jesus' name.
11. Father, help me to find contentment in you, knowing that the desires of the righteous will be fulfilled, in Jesus' name.
12 God, grant me the wisdom to discern your truth and to apply it in my daily life, in Jesus' name.
13. Lord, Open my heart and mind to understand your teachings and to seek knowledge above all things, in Jesus' name.
14. Lord Jesus,make my life brighter than noonday, in Jesus' name.
15. Let the spirit of wisdom and understanding rest upon me, in Jesus name.
16. Teach me how to be humble and help me to recognize my need for you and turn away from arrogance, in Jesus' name.
17. My hope is in you alone; strengthen my faith during challenging times, in Jesus' name.
18. Father, guide my steps as I seek to walk in your ways, in Jesus' name.
19. Father, frustrate all those who lie in wait to destroy me, in Jesus' name.
20. O Lord, help me to rely fully on you, for without you, I can't do anything in Jesus' name.
Thank you, Lord, for answering my prayers, in Jesus name.Amen
