Sermon:Who is Jesus Christ?

WHO IS JESUS CHRIST?

Jesus Christ is believed to be the son of God and the awaited Messiah.Christians believe that through Jesus' death and resurrection, humanity's sins are forgiven,and eternal life is offered.

WHO IS JESUS CHRIST BASED ON THE BIBLE

▪︎ He is the one who can destroy both soul and body in hell.(Matthew 10:28)
▪︎ He is the author and finisher of our faith. (Hebrews 12:2)
▪︎He is the one sent by God (John 11:42)
▪︎Jesus Christ is the son of God.(1 John 4:15)

▪︎He is the saviour of the world(1 John 4:14)
▪︎He is the same as God the Father(John 10:30)
▪︎He is the one that was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquity, and by whose stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5)
▪︎He is the only begotten son of God.(1 John 4:9)
▪︎Jesus Christ is the one who gave himself for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God.(Ephesians 5:2)
▪︎He is the only mediator between God and men, who gave himself a ransom for all.(1 Timothy 2:5-6)
▪︎He is the light of the world.(John 8:12)
▪︎He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.(Hebrews 13:8)
▪︎Jesus Christ is Lord(Philippians 2:11)
▪︎Jesus Christ came to seek and to save that which was lost.(Luke 19:10)
▪︎Jesus came to save the world.(John 3:17)
▪︎Through Jesus christ we are reconciled with God(2 Corinthians 5:18)
▪︎Through Jesus Christ forgiveness of sins is preached.(Acts 13:38)
▪︎Jesus is the door of Salvation.(John 10:9)
▪︎He is the Christ, the son of the living God. (Matthew 16:16)
▪︎He is the eternal life.(1 John 5:11)
▪︎He is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through him.(John 14:6)
▪︎Jesus have come to call  sinners, to repentance.(Luke 5:32)
▪︎He is the savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. (Philippians 3:20)
▪︎He is the alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.(Revelation 22:13)
▪︎Jesus Christ died for our sins, He was buried, and rose again the third day(1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
▪︎He is the true God and eternal life.(1 John 5:20)
▪︎Jesus Christ died for the ungodly(Romans 5:6)
▪︎He is the one who baptizes with the holy spirit.(John 1:33)
▪︎He is the one who was crucified and rose again(Matthew 28:5-6)
▪︎He is the one who died on the cross of Calvary.(Luke 23:46)
▪︎He is the ruler of Israel.(Micah 5:2)
▪︎He is the son of David, He came in the name of the Lord.(Matthew 21:9)
▪︎Jesus is the servant of God.(Acts 3:26)
▪︎He is born of Mary,her firstborn son, wrapped in swaddling cloths.(Luke 2:6-7)
▪︎He is exalted to the right hand of God. (Acts 2:33)
▪︎He is the coming king, riding on a donkey. (Zechariah 9:9)
▪︎He is the head of the church;and He is the saviour of the body.(Ephesians 5:23)
▪︎He is the bread of life.(John 6:35)
▪︎He is the mediator of a better covenant. (Hebrews 8:6)
▪︎Jesus came to fulfil the law(Matthew 5:17)
▪︎He is the son of the Highest(Luke 1:32)
▪︎He is Immanuel, God is with us.(Isaiah 7:14)
▪︎He is the living bread,which came down from heaven.(John 6:51)
▪︎He is the one who is who was and who is to come.(Revelation 1:8)
▪︎He sits at the right hand of God(Mark 16:19)
▪︎He is the mediator of the new covenant (Hebrews 9:15)
▪︎He is the hope of glory(Colossians 1:27)
▪︎He is the teacher and Lord.(John 13:13)
▪︎He is the chief cornerstone(Ephesians 2:20)
▪︎He is the one who will save His people from their sins.(Matthew 1:21)
▪︎He is the only begotten son.(John 1:18)
▪︎He is the one who laid down His life for us.(1 John 3:16)

▪︎He intercedes for us(Romans 8;34)

▪︎He is a miracle worker(Matthew 8:16, Mark 5;1-43 and Acts 3:1-8)

▪︎He died for us(Romans 5:8)

▪︎Through Jesus Christ we are delivered from the body of death(Romans 7:24-25)

▪︎Eternal life is through Jesus Christ. (Romans 6:23)

▪︎He will come again in glory(Matthew 25:31)

▪︎The apostle and high priest of our confession(Hebrews 3:1)

▪︎The root and the offspring of David,the bright and morning star(Revelation 22:16)

▪︎He is the good shepherd(John 10:11)

▪︎He is a great high priest(Hebrews 4:14)

▪︎He is the image of the invisible God,the firstborn over all creation(Colossians 1:15)

▪︎He is the one whose name is above every name and at His name every knee bow(Philippians 2:9)

THE POWER OF THE NAME OF JESUS

The name of Jesus is above all names in heaven, on earth, and beneath the earth. It holds authority over sickness, afflictions, and all problems. 

Every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. His name causes problems to bow and can heal and restore. 

The name of Jesus delivers from all forms of bondage and sanctifies believers. There is immense power and deliverance in His name; it can set captives free and perform wonders and miracles. 

Whenever believers gather in the name of the Lord, God is present among them.

WHO ARE WE IN CHRIST JESUS?
▪︎We are his workmanship,created in Christ Jesus for good works.

-Ephesians 2:10,"For we are His workmanship,created in Christ Jesus for good works."
▪︎We are believers of Jesus Christ.

-1 John 5:1,"Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God."
▪︎We are called into the fellowship with Jesus Christ. 

-1 Corinthians 1:9,"God is faithful,by whom you were called into the fellowship of his son,Jesus Christ our Lord."
▪︎We are believers in the name of the son of God.

-1 John 5:13,"These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the son of God,that you may know that you have eternal life..."
▪︎We are baptized into Christ Jesus.

-Romans 6:3,"Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE 

Heavenly Father, I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead for the salvation of my soul. Lord, I ask for Your grace to help me turn away from sinful habits and ungodly ways. In Jesus' name, Amen.

PRAYER 
1)Lord Jesus,pursue my enemies with your tempest and frighten them with your storm,in Jesus name.
2)Father, pour out your wrath on the nations that do not know you,in Jesus name.
3)Thank you Lord for the victory i have through  Jesus Christ, in Jesus name.
4)Let all those who seek to destroy my life, be confused and frustrated,in Jesus name.
5)Father, throw down and destroy my enemies in your wrath,in Jesus name.
6)O Lord,deliver me from my enemies and lift me up above those who rise against me ,in Jesus 

7)Arise O  Lord as a mighty warrior and fight against those that fight against me,in Jesus name.
8)Father,I pray that I may Know you,the only true God,and Jesus Christ whom you have sent, in Jesus name.
9)Let the resurrection power of Jesus Christ bring to life anything that is dead within me,in Jesus name.
10)Lord,strengthen every weak area of my life,in Jesus name.
11)Father,bring to ruin the plans of my enemies, in Jesus name.
12)Thank you Lord for redeeming my soul in peace from the battle that was against me,in Jesus name.
13)Hide me O Lord in the secret place of the most high from the plots of men, in the name of Jesus.
14)Father,preserve me from all evil,in Jesus name. 
15)Let all those who seek my hurt and speak evil against me perish,in Jesus name. 
16)O Lord, shield me and protect me from the evil one,in Jesus name.
17) Consume my enemies in your  wrath,O God,in Jesus name.
18)My eyes shall see it's desire upon my enemies,in Jesus name.
19)Lord Jesus,deliver me from those who hate me,in Jesus name.
20)Father,trouble them that trouble me, in Jesus name.

Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
