WHAT ARE MIRACLES?

Miracles are extraordinary events that demonstrate God's power and intervention  in our lives.

Miracles are spectacular events and supernatural occurrences.

Miracles are strange supernatural happenings in our midst.

Miracles are the means through which God meets our daily needs,heals us and turns situations around for good.

Miracles are mighty works of God which can be seen.

Miracles are God's marvelous and wondrous works.

Miracles are signs and wonders which the Lord has worked out for His children.

Miracles are great and unsearchable things,and marvelous things without number.

Miracles are supernatural acts that defies the laws of nature and scientific laws.

Miracles are beyond human comprehension and defies logical explanations.

Miracles are proof that God is able to do all things,even the impossible and unimaginable.

Miracles are designed by God to exhibit his awesomeness and to show how great,mighty and powerful He is.

ARE MIRACLES FOR EVERYONE OR IS IT ONLY FOR CHRISTIANS?

Many of God's miracles are for believers but His miraculous power is available to all.

i)MIRACLES FOR BELIEVERS: Most miracles are specifically for believers These miracles are performed among those who believe in God and have faith in Him.

•BELIEVERS CAN PERFORM MIRACLES: Signs will accompany those who believe in God, such as casting out demons,and healing the sick.Believers that are empowered by the Holy spirit can act in ways that reflect God's power.

 - Mark 16:17-18: "And these signs will follow those who believe:In my name they will cast out demons;they will speak with new tongues;they will take up serpents;and if they drink anything deadly,it will by no means hurt them;they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover."

▪︎BELIEVERS CAN DO GREATER WORKS:Those who believe in God can do the works He has been doing,and even greater things.

   - John 14:12: "Most assuredly,I say to you,he who believes in Me,the works that I do he will do also;and greater works than these he will do."

ii)MIRACLES FOR EVERYONE: God's miraculous power is available to all people

▪︎GOD'S BLESSINGS AND MIRACLES IS FOR ALL: God's blessings and miracles can extend beyond believers.He doesn't show partiality but blesses whoever fears Him and does what is right.

   - Matthew 5:45: "For He makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good,and sends rain on the just and on the unjust." .

   - Acts 10:34-35,"In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality.But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him."

THE MIRACLES OF GOD IN THE BIBLE

•Widow of Zarephath did not run out of supply of flour and oil(1 Kings 17:8-16)

•Moses' rod divided the sea(Exodus 14:16; 22)

•Moses' bronze serpent healed those bitten by a serpent(Numbers 21:8-9)

•The River Jordan was cut off and the people crossed over opposite Jericho(Joshua 3:13-17)

•Elijah the Tishbite was fed by ravens(1 kings 17:5-6)The ravens brought Elijah bread and meat in the morning and in the evening.

•Naaman's Leprosy was healed when he dipped seven times in the Jordan( 2 kings 5:10-14)

•The paralytic was healed(Matthew 9:6-7)

•The woman with the issue of blood was healed when she touched Jesus (Matthew 9:20-22)

•Jesus laid hands on a few sick people and healed them(Mark 6:5)

•Peter walked on the water to go to Jesus(Matthew 14:28-29)

•Jesus healed the epileptic boy(Matthew 17:14-18)

•Aeneas a bedridden man and paralysed man was healed by God through Peter(Acts 9:33-34)

•Jesus healed the lame,blind,mute and maimed(Matthew 15:30-31)

•Jesus makes both the deaf to hear and the mute to speak(Mark 7:32-35)

•Shedrach,Meshach and Abednego were cast into the burning fiery furnace and they were not hurt (Daniel 3:19-25)

 •A lame man was healed at the beautiful gate by God through Peter(Acts 3:1-10)

•God sent an angel to deliver Peter from the hand of Herod (Acts 12:5-11)

•Elijah revives the widow's son (1 kings 17:17-24)

•Jesus cleansed ten lepers(Luke 17:11-14)

•Jesus cast out unclean spirit from a demon-possessed man(Mark 5:1-13)

•God performed miracles by the hands of Paul using handkerchiefs or aprons to heal the sick and cast out evil spirits.(Acts 19:11)

•Elizabeth and Zacharias brought forth a son at old age(Luke 1:8-18;Luke 1:57)

•Moses and Aaron did wonders before Pharaoh(Exodus 11:10)

•Jesus healed the boy with a mute spirit(Mark 9:17-27)

•Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead.(John 11:1-44)

•Sarah’s conception of Isaac at old age,ninety years old(Genesis 17:17,21:1)

•Rebekah conceived after years of barrenness(Genesis 25:21)

•Turning of Moses’s rod into a serpent(Exodus 4:3)

•God’s protection by day in a pillar of cloud and by night in a pillar of fire(Exodus 13:21)

•Children of Israel walked in the midst of the sea on the dry ground.(Exodus 14:22)

•Manna and quails from heaven provided by God for the children of Israel for 40 years(Exodus 16:4-15;35, & Psalm 78:23-27)

•Aaron’s rod sprouted and put forth buds,produced blossoms and yielded ripe almonds(Numbers 17:8)

•Moses’s eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor diminished at old age(Deuteronomy 34:7)

•God split the hollow place for Samson to drink water(Judges 15:19)

•Elijah divided the water with his mantle(2 Kings 2:8)

•Elisha raises the Shunammite woman’s child(2 Kings 4:32-37)

•The bones of Elisha raised up the dead(2 Kings 13:21)

So many recorded miracles of God in the bible indicates that there is nothing impossible for God to do,reminding us that he can perform miracles in our lives.In a world full of fake miracles,signs and wonders,the bible reminds us to trust in the God who can do all things.

HOW TO LIVE A MIRACULOUS LIFE AS A CHRISTIAN 

▪︎Cultivate a deep relationship with God by praying and studying the word of God.

 ◇PRAYER: Have a regular communication with God. 

     - 1 Thessalonians 5:17: "Pray without ceasing."

   ◇BIBLE STUDY: Engaging with Scripture strengthens faith and understanding.

     - Psalm 119:105:"Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path."

▪︎Live by Faith by trusting in God's promises and by acting on your faith.

   ◇Trust in God’s promises and His ability to work in your life.

     - Hebrews 11:1:"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,the evidence of things not seen."

   ◇Act on your faith through obedience.

     - James 2:17: "Thus also faith by itself ,if it does not have works,is dead."

▪︎Be Open to the Holy Spirit by seeking His guidance and allowing him to lead you in your decisions.

   ◇Seek the guidance and empowerment of the Holy Spirit in your life.

     - Acts 1:8: "But you shall receive power when the Holy spirit has come upon you."

   ◇Allow the Spirit to lead you in your decisions and actions.

     - Galatians 5:25:"If we live in the spirit,let us also walk in the spirit."

▪︎Be Compassionate.

   ◇Acts of kindness can be a channel for God’s miracles.

     - Acts 20:35:"It is more blessed to give than to receive."

▪︎Expect miracles and be bold in prayer.

   ◇ Pray with confidence and expect God to act.

     - Mark 11:24:"Whatever things you ask when you pray,believe that you receive them,And you will have them."

   ◇Pray for the needs of others.

     - James 5:16:"And pray for one another."

▪︎Walk in Obedience by following God's commandments.

   ◇Follow God’s commandments.

     - John 14:15:"If you love me, keep my commandments."

   ◇Obey God fully:Obedience opens the door for God to work miraculously.

     - Deuteronomy 28:1-2: "If you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God,to observe carefully all His commandments... all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you"

▪︎Testify about God's goodness.

◇Share your experiences of God’s goodness and miracles with others.

     - Revelation 12:11:"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. "

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Lord Jesus, I come before You with a humble heart, repenting of my sins and seeking Your forgiveness. Please free me from the bondage of sin and cleanse me with Your precious blood. Help me to live my life fully for You, and let my identity be rooted in Christ. I declare that Jesus reigns in my life, and I am a new creation; the old has passed away. Glory be to Your name, Most High God.

PRAYERS

1.Lord Jesus,heal me miraculously and restore me to perfect health,in Jesus name.

2.O Lord,deliver me from any chain that bind me.Break every stronghold in my life and let your supernatural power lead me to freedom and peace,in Jesus name.

3.Lord Jesus,perform an unusual miracle in my life that will make many to believe in your name,in Jesus name.

4.Jesus,i come to you with faith,asking for healing from all ailments and afflications.May my faith in you unlock the miracles that i seek,in Jesus name.

5.Father,i recognize your power to perform the miraculous.I ask that you work in ways that defy human understanding,in Jesus name.

6.Jesus perform mighty signs and wonders in my life by the power of the holy spirit,in Jesus name.

7.Heavenly father,i ask for your supernatural provision in my life.Multiply my resources and sustain me  during times of lack,in Jesus name.

8.Father,do great and marvelous things without number in my life,in Jesus name.

9.Lord,I thank you for all you have done in my life,in Jesus name.

10)God,i ask that you break through the ordinary in my life.Let me experience uncommon miracles that draw others to you,in Jesus name.

11)I bind and cast out every unclean spirit from my life,in Jesus name.

12)Any open door that allows evil spirits into my life,be shut forever,in the name of Jesus Christ.

13) O Lord,let my life be a testimony of your strange acts and supernatural interventions,in the name of Jesus.

14)Jesus the miracle worker,heal me of any sickness that have lasted for so long in my life,in Jesus name.

15.Lord,grant me supernatural favor in all that I do.I ask for unexpected blessings and breakthroughs in my work,relationships and spiritual walk,in the name of Jesus.

16.Holy spirit,transform my circumstances in miraculous ways,in Jesus name.

17.Lord,i pray for an expectation of the impossible.Help me to see opportunities for miracles in everyday situations,in Jesus name.

18.Father,let my experience of your supernatural acts inspire others to seek You and believe in your goodness,in Jesus name.

19.I declare healing and miracles in my life,in the name of Jesus.

20.Father,thank you for your miraculous power that is available to all who believe in you,in Jesus name.
