We have been given divine authority—not just to resist the enemy, but to walk in complete freedom and dominion through Christ. In today’s message, we’re continuing our journey of uncovering how to break the chains of demonic influence and spiritual oppression. You don’t have to stay bound. Freedom is yours in Jesus' name!
●Serpentine powers and spirits
What are serpentine powers and spirits?
Serpentine spirits are demonic forces symbolized by snakes or serpents in the scripture. They represent deception, fear, manipulation, seduction, and oppression. These spirits often operate through craftiness, just as the serpent did in the Garden of Eden, seeking to twist truth and lead people away from God's will.
They often hide and strike subtly, just like physical serpents, making them hard to detect without spiritual discernment.
How do serpentine powers and spirits operate?
These spirits manifest in the following ways:
•Deception: Twisting God’s word and distorting truth.
-Genesis 3:1,"Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made."
•Fear and intimidation: Paralyzing faith through fear and anxiety.
•Temptation and seduction: Leading people into sin or rebellion through subtle suggestions.
•Spiritual oppression: Hindering spiritual growth and binding destinies.
•Manipulation: Influencing thoughts, relationships, and decisions in ungodly ways.
What does the bible say about serpentine powers and spirits?
•The serpent (Satan) deceived Eve by questioning God's word, introducing doubt and leading to disobedience.
-Genesis 3:1-4,“Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field… then the serpent said to the woman,”You will not surely die.
•Wicked people influenced by serpentine spirits are likened to poisonous serpents—dangerous and unwilling to listen to truth.
-Psalm 58:4,“Their poison is like the poison of a serpent; They are like the deaf cobra that stops its ear.”
•Serpentine spirits can be seductive, venomous, and spiritually deadly.This verse refers to sin and temptation, particularly through intoxication or seduction, which initially seems harmless but ends in pain and destruction.
-Proverbs 23:32,“At the last it bites like a serpent, and stings like a viper.”

•Know your authority
As believers, you have been given spiritual authority to defeat these powers.
-Luke 10:19,“Behold, I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy...”
•Use the word of God
Just as Jesus resisted Satan in the wilderness,declare scripture boldly to counter lies and fear.
-Matthew 4:1-10,"Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the Devil.....Then Jesus said to him,"Away with you,Satan! For it is written,'You shall worship the Lord your God,and Him only you shall serve."
•Renounce and break agreement.
Pray and renounce any lies or sinful agreements you've made unknowingly with these spirits. Confess, repent, and shut every open door.
•Apply the blood of Jesus
The blood of Jesus is powerful for cleansing and protection.
-Revelation 12:11,"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb's and by the word of their testimony. "
•Pray deliverance prayers
Engage in intentional prayer and fasting to break strongholds.
-Mark 9:29,"So He said to them,"This kind can come by nothing but prayer and fasting."
•Stay spiritually alert and submitted to God
-James 4:7,"Submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
●Mystical powers and spirits
What are mystical powers and spirits?
Mystical powers and spirits refer to supernatural forces or beings often associated with esoteric, hidden knowledge, and occult practices.
These powers involve mysterious or supernatural practices such as divination, magic, or the seeking of hidden knowledge.
These may involve:
•Divination: Predicting the future using spiritual or mystical means (e.g., tarot, astrology).
•Magic or sorcery: Attempting to control spiritual forces for personal gain or power.
•Spiritism: Contacting spirits of the dead or other supernatural beings.
•Secret societies: Groups like AMORC (Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis) that explore mystical knowledge, spiritual enlightenment, and occult teachings.
How do mystical powers and spirits operate?
Mystical forces often operate through:
•Deception: Presenting false light or power to distract people from the truth of God.
•Spiritual bondage: Drawing individuals into deeper dependence on rituals, charms, or secret knowledge.
•False authority: Claiming divine or cosmic wisdom that opposes or replaces the truth of God’s word.
Mystical powers can give temporary sensations of enlightenment or control but often lead to confusion, spiritual oppression, and distance from God.

•Mystical powers can deceive and amaze people. Simon used sorcery to gain influence, but later he encountered the true power of God through the apostles.
-Acts 8:9-11,"But there was a certain man called Simon,who previously practiced sorcery in the city and astonished the people of Samaria, claiming that he was someone great, to whom they all gave heed,from the least to the greatest, saying,"This man is the great power of God." And they heeded him because he had astonished them with his sorceries for a long time."
•God forbids practices like witchcraft, divination, and spiritism.
-Deuteronomy 18:10-11,"There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or daughter pass through the fire ,or who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens,or a sorcerer , or one who conjures spells,or a medium,or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead."

•Recognize and reject – Acknowledge involvement in mystical or occult practices and reject them completely.
-Ephesians 5:11,”And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.
•Renounce all agreements – Verbally renounce any vows, rituals, or associations with mystical groups.
•Confess and repent – Ask Jesus to forgive all involvement in these practices.
-1 John 1:9 ,“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”
•Declare Jesus as Lord – Accept Jesus as your Savior and the ultimate truth.
-John 14:6,“I am the way, the truth, and the life…”
•Pray for deliverance and seek support – Ask God to cleanse and free you, and seek help from mature believers or pastors.
●Monitoring powers and spirits
What are Monitoring powers and spirits?
Monitoring spirits are believed to be demonic entities or agents of darkness assigned to observe, track, or spy on individuals—especially those with a divine calling, purpose, or potential. Their goal is often to gather information for the enemy to use for spiritual attacks, sabotage, or manipulation.
Spirits that are believed to observe or monitor individuals, often linked to surveillance or spying in the spiritual realm.
How do monitoring powers and spirits operate?
•Spiritual surveillance: They watch a person’s movements, relationships, behavior, and spiritual activities.
•Dream infiltration: They may appear in dreams or visions, often in forms like animals (e.g., birds, cats, or snakes) or familiar people.
•Familiar spirits: They often operate as familiar spirits, using personal or ancestral knowledge to manipulate or oppress.
•Reporting spirits: They report to higher demonic powers to orchestrate attacks like confusion, delay, stagnation, or temptation.

•Be vigilant! The devil is always watching and looking for vulnerabilities.
-1 Peter 5:8 ,"Be sober,be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion,seeking whom he may devour."
•A constant battle goes on in the unseen realm, including against monitoring spirits.
-Ephesians 6:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers…”
•The enemy patrols the earth, observing people.
-Job 1:7,“And the Lord said to Satan," From where do you come? So Satan answered the Lord and said ," From going to and from on the earth,and from walking back and forth on it."
How to break free from the influence of monitoring powers and spirits.
•Spiritual discernment and prayer.
-Pray specifically against monitoring spirits and ask the Holy Spirit to expose them.
•Angelic protection
-Psalm 91:11 ,“For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.”
•Live a holy and vigilant life
-Avoid opening doors through sin, fear, or unforgiveness.
-Use spiritual warfare tools like fasting, worship, and declaration of Scripture.
•Plead the blood of Jesus
-The blood of Jesus is a covering and a weapon—use it in prayer to shield yourself.
●Witchcraft powers and spirits
What are Witchcraft powers and spirits?
Witchcraft powers and spirits refer to demonic forces that manipulate, deceive, and control people,events,or outcomes through supernatural means. These spirits often operate through spells, rituals, charms, or direct spiritual influence with the intention to harm, confuse, or dominate others.
How do witchcraft powers and spirits operate?
They operate through:
•Deception and manipulation of the mind and will.
•Use of occult practices such as divination, incantations, and curses.
•Exploiting fear, ignorance, and spiritual vulnerability to gain control.
What does the bible say about witchcraft powers and spirits?
The Bible strongly condemns witchcraft:
•The bible lists sorcery as a work of the flesh, incompatible with the Spirit of God.
-Galatians 5:19-20,"Now the works of the flesh are evident,which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry,sorcery, hatred,contentions, Jealousies,outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions,dissensions,heresies, envy,
murders,drunkenness, revelries..."

-Isaiah 8:19,"And when they say to you,"Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter," Should not a people seek their God?
•The bible forbids all forms of witchcraft, divination, and necromancy.

•Stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ.
•Engage in prayer, fasting, and spiritual warfare with the armor of God
-Ephesians 6:11," Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the Devil. "
●Spirit of Error
What is the spirit of error?
The Spirit of error is a deceiving spirit that leads people away from the truth of God's word. It causes individuals to reject sound doctrine, embrace false teachings, and live contrary to God’s will.The spirit of error leads people into deception, false doctrine, rebellion, and ultimately separation from the truth of God’s word.
How does the Spirit of error operate?
•By distorting or misinterpreting scripture.
•Influencing false teachers and prophets.
•Creating confusion, pride, or rebellion against spiritual authority.
•Leading believers into heresies and ungodly behavior.
What does the bible say about the Spirit of error?
-1 John 4:6 ,“We are of God.He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us.By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.”
How to break free from the influence of the Spirit of error through Jesus Christ.
•Acknowledge and confess.
Admit areas where you've believed lies, followed false teachings, or acted in disobedience. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any deception or false beliefs operating in your life.
-1 John 1:9,"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us.
• Renounce the spirit of error.
Verbally break every covenant or agreement made—knowingly or unknowingly with the spirit of error. Speak against it with authority in Christ.
-1 John 4:3,"Every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus… is not from God.”
•Submit to the truth of God’s word.
Immerse yourself in Scripture daily. Let the Word of God become your foundation for discerning truth from error.
-John 17:17,"Sanctify them by the truth; Your Word is truth.”
•Be filled and led by the Holy spirit.
Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you afresh.Yield to His guidance. He is the one who guards you from deception and leads you in righteousness.
-John 16:13,"When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth.”
•Stay accountable and planted in a bible-based fellowship.
Get connected with a church or believers who uphold the truth of Scripture. Spiritual growth happens in community, not isolation.
-Acts 2:42,"They continued in the apostles' doctrine…”
•Daily spiritual warfare.
Put on the full armor of God daily. Stand against deception, doubt, and compromise.
-Ephesians 6:12,"We wrestle not against flesh and blood…”
●Unclean spirits
What are unclean spirits?
These are evil spiritual entities associated with impurity, sin, and spiritual defilement. They often cause torment, moral corruption, and physical or mental oppression.
How does unclean spirits operate?
They enter and influence individuals through sin, rebellion, occult practices, and open spiritual doors. They seek to possess or oppress, and they resist the presence of God.
What does the Bible say about unclean Spirits?
•Unclean spirits return to a person if the house is empty.
-Matthew 12:43"When an unclean spirit goes out of a man,he goes through dry places,seeking rest,and finds none.
•Jesus gave authority over unclean spirits to His disciples.
-Matthew 10:1,"He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out.."
•The man possessed by Legion lived among tombs; these spirits controlled his actions.
-Mark 5:2"And when He had come out of the boat,immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit..."

•Through repentance, deliverance, and the blood of Jesus.
-Isaiah 1:18, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.”
●Spirit of Jealousy
What is the spirit of jealousy?
A demonic spirit that stirs up envy, suspicion, rage, and irrational fear of being replaced or unloved.
How does it operate?
Through comparison, suspicion, insecurity, and sometimes violence. It drives division and strife, even in close relationships.
What does the Bible say?
•Numbers 5:14 & Numbers 5:30 describes the spirit of jealousy in the context of suspicion in marriage.
-Numbers 5:14,"If the spirit of jealousy comes upon him and he becomes jealous of his wife..."
-Numbers 5:30,"Or when the spirit of Jealousy comes upon a man,and he becomes jealous of his wife..."
How to break free from the spirit of Jealousy through Jesus Christ.
•Confess jealousy as sin.
•Seek contentment in God’s love and your identity in Christ.
•Ask the Holy spirit to renew your mind.
● Distressing Spirit
What is a distressing spirit?
A demonic spirit that torments a person with depression, anxiety, fear, or confusion.
How does it operate?
By creating inner turmoil, fear, restlessness, or emotional instability, often after rejection or disobedience to God.
What does the Bible say?
•A distressing spirit from the Lord tormented Saul after the Spirit of God departed from him.
-1 Samuel 16:14,"But the spirit of the
Lord departed from Saul,and a distressing spirit from the Lord troubled him "
How to break free from the influence of distressing spirit through Jesus Christ.
•Worship (like David did for Saul).
•Ask for the infilling of the Holy Spirit.
•Submit to God's will and walk in obedience.
●Spirit of antichrist
What is the spirit of Antichrist?
A spirit that denies Jesus Christ as Lord and undermines Christian truth, promoting deception and rebellion against God.
How does it operate?
Through false teachings, denial of Christ’s divinity, and promoting worldly or ungodly ideologies.
What does the Bible say?
-1 John 4:3 ,“Every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God.And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming,and is now already in the world."
How to break free from the Influence of the spirit of antichrist through Jesus Christ.
•Confess Christ as Lord and savior.
•Know and abide in the truth of God’s word.
•Stay grounded in sound doctrine and filled with the Holy Spirit.
●Lustful Spirits
What are lustful spirits?
These are demonic influences that drive sexual immorality, impurity, and addiction to fleshly desires.
How do they operate?
By stirring up impure thoughts, desires, and behaviors that lead to spiritual bondage and broken relationships.
What does the Bible say about lustful spirits?
•Some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons.”
-1 Timothy 4:1,"Now the spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith,giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons."
How to break free from the Influence of lustful spirits through Jesus Christ.
•Repent and flee from sexual sin.
•Renew your mind with Scripture.
-Romans 12:2b,"But be transformed by the renewing of your mind..."
•Guard your heart and eyes.
•Rely on the Holy Spirit for strength and self-control.
●Seducing spirits
What are seducing spirits?
Deceptive spirits that lure believers away from the truth of God’s word and into error, sin, or false doctrine.
How do they operate?
They manipulate through lies, charm, or counterfeit spiritual experiences. They often operate through false teachers or temptations.
What does the Bible say?
-1 Timothy 4:1,“In the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits.”
How to break free from the Influence of seducing spirits through Jesus Christ.
•Discern spirits through God’s word and prayer.
•Cling to the truth of the gospel.
•Submit to spiritual authority and remain in fellowship with strong believers.

1. Lord Jesus, I thank you for the authority You have given me over every power of darkness. I trample upon serpents and scorpions by Your power, and I claim victory and freedom in every area of my life.In Jesus' name.
2.Father, deliver me from those who carry the poison of malice, deception, and destruction. Let every venomous word and action against me be nullified in the name of Jesus.
3. Restore me, O Lord. Heal my soul from every torment, fear, and despair. Lead me in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake and bring me into divine peace. In Jesus' name.
4. I overcome every attack of the enemy and i declare freedom through the blood of Jesus.In Jesus' name.
5.Father, I submit to You fully. Strengthen me to resist the devil and his schemes. Cause the enemy to flee from every area of my life, in Jesus’ name.
6. Lord, in my time of blessing and breakthrough, help me never to forget You. Keep me rooted in humility and obedience, lest I lose what You’ve given me.In Jesus' name.
7. Lord, separate me from every alliance and agreement with darkness. Expose hidden evil and lead me in the way of holiness and truth.In Jesus' name.
8.O Lord, awaken my spirit. Let me not be caught unaware. Shield me from the devouring tactics of the enemy, and preserve my soul with divine alertness.In Jesus' name.
9.Father, clothe me with Your full armor. Strengthen me in the battle against spiritual wickedness. Let every scheme of the enemy be dismantled by Your might. In Jesus' name.
10.I intercept every roaming spirit of destruction sent against me or my household. I bind them in the name of Jesus and command them to lose their hold now.In Jesus' name.
